Many times when I preach, I’m sharing information and facts. And that’s good. But honestly, I can sometimes do that with little thought or emotion attached. Well a few weeks ago, as I was concluding a message, I was sharing the Gospel. And I was just struck with awe and wonder! That God Himself came to earth! And took my punishment for my sin. I’m so full of joy and gratitude for what He has done for me!

SAY TO GOD: “HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME!”

I found such a great deal of satisfaction teaching 5th and 6th grade at a small Christian school! The subject matters were all interesting to me. But more than that, I really enjoyed explaining the gifts and mysteries of God to my students. He made them all for our discovery. What a thrill and a joy to watch those young minds contemplate the vastness of God and His creation!

SAY TO GOD: “MAY YOUR WILL BE DONE!”

My parents made it very clear they would pay for my primary and secondary Christian education. Anything after that was my responsibility. The cost of a private Christian school of course was large. And I didn’t have all that was needed. So I pleaded with the Lord for the financial means to attend a Christian college. God answered that prayer by funding my initial costs in ways I never would have thought of. As cards came in for my graduation, in them were checks and gifts I never thought possible. Money people gave me funded my college enrollment fees to within pennies! To this day, I remember the people God put in my life to make attending a Christian college possible for me.

SAY TO GOD: “GIVE US TODAY OUR DAILY BREAD!”

A mother was killed in an auto accident. Very tragic - to say the least. My wife and I took in her children - a foster sibling group of four. They had many questions about God, life, death, and the like. As we had opportunity, we shared the Gospel and our lives with these kids. The eldest child came to Christ and was baptized. And we saw once again that God can, does, and will use the deepest, darkest, and worst circumstances of our lives for His glory!

SAY TO GOD: “DELIVER US FROM EVIL!”
