Angel
I was filled with awe and wonder when my first daughter was born - and subsequently, our other four daughters as well. The distinctive scent of my baby daughter, and the miracle of life unfolding in front of my very eyes! It was a miraculous moment to behold as I watched in reverence that little girl joining us in our newly formed bonds of love. I knew in that moment that the Lord was calling me to a new level of commitment. To be a father, protector, provider, teacher and a priest at home.
SAY TO GOD: “HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME!”
I lived a life with no hope and total abandonment. Then the Lord revealed Himself to me at the age of 19. At that moment I knew for the first time who I was and what I was created for. Later, the Lord made clear to me what my calling for life was. And the day I married my wife, I knew the Lord gave me an ideal helper, friend, and lover. And that has filled my heart with great joy for the past 39 years!
SAY TO GOD: “MAY YOUR WILL BE DONE!”
Both of my parents were deathly sick at the same time. No siblings to help with the care they needed. I had to do this with the help of my wife and very young daughters. Especially difficult after my mother died and my father had a stroke that left him bedridden for nine years. The Lord turned our sorrow into joy, however, as we served my father together. My family is now stronger, more united in love, appreciative of the fragility of life, and more equipped to serve each other in love than ever before.
SAY TO GOD: “GIVE US TODAY OUR DAILY BREAD!”
A brother and elder at my local church falsely accused me of wrongdoing in front of the congregation. Without time to think about it, the Lord moved me to stand next to him, give him a hug, and tell him that no matter what, he would always be my brother. The Lord then taught me the meaning of Romans 12:21 “Don’t let evil conquer you, butconquer evil by doing good.” The brother was disarmed with love and the contentious spirit stopped. The Lord worked another one of his miracles in the hearts of His people.”
SAY TO GOD: “DELIVER US FROM EVIL!”
