Paul

During a skiing trip in the mountains of Colorado, I was standing atop a snow-covered peak at an elevation of 10,000 feet. I was struck by the grandeur of the surrounding landscape. The sight of endless snow-covered mountains, stretching as far as the eye could see, offered me a glimpse of God’s immense creative power. In that moment, I felt small and insignificant, realizing that these majestic mountains are only a tiny part of the vast universe He has created.

SAY TO GOD: “HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME!”

I’ve had the privilege of leading an executive coaching program for Christian leaders. At the end of a full coaching day with a cohort, there were moments when I felt I had honored God through what I shared and could see the tangible impact on the lives of others. Sitting in my car afterward, I reflected with God on the profound privilege of influencing lives, feeling a deep sense of purpose and meaning from that time.

SAY TO GOD: “MAY YOUR WILL BE DONE!”

My wife and I longed to have children but faced years of undiagnosed infertility. There were countless tests and attempts to conceive—without success. This brought us into a season of questions, doubts, and frustration. However, through the journey God led us on, we adopted two children and have experienced the profound joy and privilege of parenthood. Looking back, we see how we moved from a place of little to no hope to recognizing our children as gifts from God and embracing the “holy assignment” he entrusted to us as parents.

SAY TO GOD: “GIVE US TODAY OUR DAILY BREAD!”

There have been a few specific times when I was treated unjustly and harmed by the actions of others. My initial reaction was anger and frustration, followed by thoughts of revenge, and my own ideas of what justice should look like. However, over time, through God’s work in my life, I was able to let go of much of this and began to experience a growing sense of peace. I came to understand that seeking revenge is not my role—it is God’s. Not releasing the anger and desire for revenge creates a burden in my life that I don’t need to carry or want to carry. I ask God to take the burden from me to allow me to experience his freedom.

SAY TO GOD: “DELIVER US FROM EVIL!”
